This past month has been full of meaningful moments that reminded me why I’m stepping into this next season.
It all began with Sunflower Fest on July 25th. Imagine fields of sunflowers in full bloom, more than 1,500 people gathered, worship filling the air, kids running between face painting and bouncy castles, and then an evening service where the presence of God moved in undeniable ways. By the end of the night, there were 12 first-time salvations, 8 baptisms, and countless testimonies of freedom and new beginnings.
Some of the stories from the evening capture just how powerful it was:
Someone who had just finished 12 weeks of addiction recovery not only found freedom but also personally encountered Jesus, made Him the Lord of their life, and was baptized.
A young woman who had survived a suicide attempt only days earlier gave her life to Christ after hearing a testimony of hope and deliverance.
A woman from a Muslim background, after months of seeking, took a decisive step and chose to follow Jesus.
To be a part these moments unfold was incredible — a reminder that God is still drawing people to Himself in life-changing ways.
From there, I headed down to Florida for fundraising. It was a whirlwind of reconnecting with old friends, sharing vision, and being deeply encouraged by the conversations along the way. Fundraising continues to move closer to the finish line, with the goal of being fully funded. I’m so thankful for everyone who has already chosen to join my partnership team, it means so much to me, and I’m deeply grateful for your partnership in advancing the Gospel in the nations.
On the family side, we had a trip to Montreal, which was a great chance to spend time with cousins and enjoy a few days together as a family. With my sister Paige leaving for school in Texas today, it was a nice way to have a meaningful few days together before we both start new seasons.
It’s been a month marked by movement, connection, and preparation. As I reflect on it all, I’m reminded of Hebrews 12:1-3, which calls us to run the race set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. There have been many days filled with anxiety and uncertainty about what’s next. But the Lord continually brings me back to a simple truth: it’s step by step, walking with Jesus and keeping my eyes fixed on Him. In those moments, I hear His gentle reminder: “Let me lead you. I am the Good Shepherd.” I don’t need to have everything figured out; I just need to trust Him. He helps me throw off everything that entangles and run the race He has set before me.
As I look to the Good Shepherd and His Word, I see that He preserves me, for He is my delight. Even in moments of fear or uncertainty, I am not abandoned. His precepts sustain me and guide each step I take. “Step by step You’ll lead me, and I will follow You all of my days.” Because of that, I can say with confidence: “God, You are my God, and I will forever praise You. I will seek You in the morning, learn to walk in Your ways, and follow You step by step all of my days.”
Prayer Requests
Funding: I am almost at my goal! As I continue to raise support over the next few weeks, please pray that I would reach full funding by September 8, so all ministry and living costs in the UK are covered.
Transitions: Pray for clarity, strength, and grace as I navigate all the changes and steps ahead.
Jesus Fest (Downtown Hamilton, Sept 5-6): We will be partnering with another ministry in Hamilton for this event. Please pray that God would open hearts across the city to the Gospel, that many would encounter Jesus in a personal and transformative way, and that the message of salvation through Him would be clearly shared and received through worship, outreach, and conversations.
I’m so encouraged knowing you’re praying and partnering with me. Your support makes such a difference, and I’m thankful to share this journey of seeing God move with you.
Blessings,
Cameron
