Stories from the Road

A few years ago, people were saying the UK Church was dying. Attendance was falling, the average Christian was over 50, and many wondered if Gen Z would grow up without ever knowing Jesus.
But God had a different story. He was not finished with this generation—or this nation.
Over the past two years, my team, Neighbours & Nations, has stepped into that story. We believed God was calling a generation to live all in for Jesus. And as we’ve traveled across the UK and Europe, I’ve been continually blown away by what He is doing.
Thousands are gathering to worship. Hundreds are responding to the gospel. Young men and women are openly repenting, finding freedom, and encountering God’s presence in powerful, and tangible ways.
What amazes me most is their hunger. This generation isn’t looking for polished religion. They’re desperate for something real. And when they encounter God, their faith spreads. They’re sharing the gospel, starting prayer gatherings, leading Bible studies, and stepping into leadership that is shaping churches and movements across the nation.
Something is shifting. God is moving among a generation, and across this nation. Our stories from this past month are living proof.
Jersey
At a youth group in Jersey, we met a teenage girl who had recently come to Jesus. She came from a Muslim family that had moved from Central Asia and had encountered Jesus so personally in her room that she could not deny He is the Son of God.
That same weekend, her parents kicked her out of their house because of her new faith. Despite this incredibly difficult situation, her joy was unstoppable. She began asking us how she could become a missionary and return to her home nation to share Jesus with others.
Bristol
In Bristol, we met a family running a citywide prayer room, seeing people from all over come to Jesus. One girl they had been walking with at the local university was an avid atheist. She couldn’t get over the love and kindness of the wife who had met her—but when she discovered the wife was a Christian, she initially resisted.
Still, she couldn’t stay away. Eventually, she attended a prayer night at the local prayer room and was radically met by Jesus. She became “crazy” for Him. A few weeks later, she began sharing her faith with friends. One friend thought she had lost it, but after being invited to a baptism service, she became rooted in the Christian community. Weeks later, she gave her life to Jesus. Today, both girls are actively pursuing their communities, friends, and strangers with the gospel.
Coventry
Over in Coventry, we led a worship and evangelism night with young adults, most of whom had never shared their faith. By the end of the night, 28 people had evangelized for the first time, scattering across downtown with passion and boldness that made it seem like they had been doing it all their lives.
During the same time, my friend and I met a young man who had never heard the gospel. He was incredibly open, and by the end of our conversation, he was so excited to download the Bible app and read it for the first time.
Loughborough
Meanwhile in Loughborough, we were working with a local youth group and met a 13-year-old boy who was brand new. He didn’t come from a Christian household, but in his religious class at school, he had encountered Jesus on his own and accepted Him into his life.
Boldly, he began sharing his new faith with peers and eventually found a Christian friend who brought him to the youth group. We took them out for evangelism, and he could not be stopped. Everywhere he went, he found someone new to discuss Jesus with, apologetically defending His truth and inviting others into relationship with Him.
Liverpool
At our event in Liverpool, I met a young man who first encountered God in a surprising moment while smoking weed. In that moment, he became convinced that God was real, but he didn’t know what to do with that belief.
About six weeks ago, after a major event in the news shook him, he felt compelled to come to church. He had been feeling deeply alone and lacked a real certainty in his life. Through the love of the community and continually encountering Jesus in those services, he gave his life to Christ.
Now he is all in. His life has been completely transformed. He shares his new faith with friends, uses his work to create beautiful masterpieces for the Lord, and his parents, who he never previously got along with, are now witnessing a dramatic change in their son.
These stories are just a glimpse of what God is doing across this generation and in the UK. His work is ongoing, and as we continue to see lives changed and hearts awakened, we want to lift up every city, every team, and every next step in prayer.
Prayer & Support
As we continue to see God move, we would love your partnership in prayer:
Pray for continued boldness and faith for young people across the UK and Europe.
Pray for protection and strength for our teams as we continue to tour the UK.
Pray for a continued openness, that as we share people will continue to be open to the Gospel and make decisions to follow Jesus.
Pray for our team as we join The SEND Albania to help lead a major SEND event in Tirana and run a 7-day evangelism and mobilisation tour across Albania and Kosovo. Pray that God would ignite a movement of young believers, raise up disciples to the nations, and bring lasting fruit from the outreach, discipleship, and volunteer efforts.
Thank you for standing with us in prayer for this nation and a generation.
